Dry White Wines

Luce d'Bianco

Luce d'Bianco is a blend of top quality Seyval Blanc fermented in separate lots to develop the tropical and soft citrus tones. This dry, white wine has a long, cool finish with only a trace of oak.  It is one of the finest dry white wines produced anywhere, but we're proud  to boast that it is crafted on the central plains of Kansas.   The nice soft fruity finish makes it an excellent choice to serve with a variety of mild cheeses, creamy sauces or delicate fish.
Wine Flavors: Tangerine, kiwi, nutmeg
Body: Light-to-medium body with subtle floral nose
Food Pairing: Pepper jack cheese, spicy white meats, white fish and white chili
Winemakers Recipe Featuring Luce d'Bianco

2006 Dry Vignoles

The 2006 Dry Vignoles, a single barrel, special edition wine. Crisp and smooth with delicate apricot and pear flavors and a long, creamy finish. A single barrel release, there will be 350 or fewer bottles. Dry Vignoles is $24.95, and is only available in our three stores. The label, featuring the vineyard on a foggy day, was created by the winemaker.  It is a fabulous dry white crafted from the Vignoles grape.  Read more about the grape here.

Wine Flavors: delicate apricot and pear
Body: Light-to-medium body with a long creamy finish
Food Pairing: Perfect for sipping and lightly seasoned white meat and fishi
Chardonnal

Chardonnal is crafted from a blend of three grapes.  We use Chardonnay (A French viniferous), Chardonel (A Midwest hybrid of Chardonnay) and Vidal (famous for Canadian Ice Wines). Carefully blended, these three grapes produce a very fine cuvee for a traditional oak-aged dry white wine.  The wine has a nice buttery flavor with a moderate presence of oak. It starts with a lively aroma and has a long, smooth finish.  Enjoy it with your favorite salad or pair it with poultry and seafood dishes, especially those with rich, creamy, sauces.
Wine Flavors: Oak, butter, pear, moderate oak
Body: Medium body with a buttery texture and heavy oak tones
Food Pairing: Shrimp, strawberries, quiche, soft white grilled meats

Semi-Dry White Wines

Heartland Sonata

Reminiscent of early autumn evenings, this semi-dry white wine will play as a favorite to those preferring a smooth and subtle, aromatic wine. The soft gold color evokes images of Kansas wheat fields, gently swaying in the late summer sun, awaiting harvest. The delicate aroma and medium body of this wine recalls our Founder's connection to the Germanic wines of the Rhine and Mosel comparing favorably to a semi-dry Reisling.
Wine Flavors: Tropical fruit and spice
Body: Light-to-medium
Food Pairing: Intense spicy foods of the Mediterranean and Far East
Winemakers Recipe Featuring Premium Spatlese
