The creator of the original art appearing on Smoky Hill’s Heartland Sonata is Christina Mitchell. Terrafirma was one of two pieces of original art Christina created for this project. Originally from the United Kingdom, Christina is an illustrator now living in British Columbia, Canada. A graduate of the Central School of Art Design (University of the Arts, London, England) she holds a BA (Hons) Degree. Her paintings and illustrations range from traditional gouache and pastels to digital reflecting a broad portfolio of landscapes, decorative and figurative work, She has a particular interest in global cultures and has exhibited and received awards for her work.
