Linda has
worked for Smoky Hill for over seven years. Her energy and
dedication to Smoky Hill Vineyards and Winery is perhaps surpassed
only by her dedication to pleasing her customers. Sitting just
off I-70 West at the Wilson exit, Linda has the unique opportunity
to meet people from across the United States as they travel east and
west. Linda says meeting people from all walks of life is
absolutely the best part about working in Smoky Hill Winery's Wilson
Tasting Room.
Linda
has also worked in the Vineyard helping with harvest, assisted on
the bottling line, and can occasionally be found as a member of the
event staff, helping serve
winemaker dinners at
the Winery.
A lot of Linda's customers are on their way to
Wilson Lake.
An important recreational resource
for many of the surrounding towns, Wilson Lake is a 9,100-acre lake
and has over 100 miles of beautiful shoreline. Even if the
lake wasn't on your travel plans, the drive to Wilson Lake from the
Tasting Room and over the dam is a beautiful drive, any time of the
year.
Born in Great Bend Kansas, Linda
was raised in Edwards County. Linda has two daughters and a
son, seven grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Twelve-year-old Oscar, however, is the love of her life, and keeps
her on her toes as the ruler of Linda's household. Don't
anyone tell Oscar, but he is Linda's beloved pet dog.
When not offering her expertise
from behind the tasting bar, Linda paints professionally and
re-models homes to sell. So when it's time to kick back and relax,
it is no surprise that Linda enjoys kicking back with a glass of
Smoky Hill Merlot or
Simply Red.
