The Kansas Grape Growers & Winemakers
Association is a group comprised of both hobbyists and professionals
with the purpose of furthering the grape growing and wine
making industries in Kansas. That is the official purpose. The unofficial purpose
is for fellowship, and to enjoy a glass or
two of fine Kansas wine from time to time. We have an email
to keep in touch, post information and plan events and seminars.
The association has an annual dues that assists with the activities
conducted each year. To join, get more information, or be added
to the group email list, contact
Dave Cairns - KGGWA President.
Throughout the year there are
workshops that are conducted in various locations around the state.
These workshops range from how to prune a vine to how to make wine.
Below there is a schedule of these informal workshops and
locations.
The association has an annual
meeting in January. At that meeting we conduct formal
workshops, have a multi-course wine dinner, have an amateur
winemaking competition and close with a business meeting in which we
discuss the events of the past year and some of the ideas for the
future. Below there is information on the annual meeting and a
link to the last meeting.
